The checklist
- Verify the seller’s claim against the official source. Cross-check plot numbers, status (“Available” vs “Sold”), and terms on cbdpunjab.gov.pk — not just the seller’s brochure.
- Demand the official allotment/provisional documents and confirm they reference the correct district, plot number, and FAR.
- Check auction provenance. If a plot was “auctioned”, find the dated official auction notice and match the reserve price and payment plan.
- Confirm payment-plan math against the official terms (down payment %, instalment schedule, possession threshold, upfront-discount conditions).
- Visit the site. Confirm infrastructure status (“100% ready” claims) physically or via dated evidence.
- Watch for red flags: prices far below official reserve, pressure to pay in cash without receipts, “files” without plot numbers, or guaranteed returns.
- Get everything in writing from the authority or its authorised channel — verbal assurances are not allotments.
