Cost guide
Punjab Property Transfer Cost Calculator
Government charges sit on top of the price whenever property changes hands in Punjab — stamp duty for the buyer, FBR advance tax for both sides. This calculator estimates them from the official rates so you can plan the full cost before you commit.
Transfer cost calculator
Estimate the government charges on a property transfer in Punjab. Enter the value on which charges are assessed (the DC/declared value used at registration), choose your side of the transaction, and your filer status.
How these figures are set: stamp duty 2% of value on sale conveyances (Stamp Act 1899, Article 23 — Board of Revenue Punjab). FBR advance tax, Tax Year 2027 (Finance Act 2026): sellers pay u/s 236C at 2.75% (filer) or 5.5% (non-filer); buyers pay u/s 236K at 1.25% (filer) or 2.5% (non-filer). Capital Value Tax is merged into stamp duty and is not charged separately. Registration and mutation fees vary — enter them from your PLRA challan; this calculator never guesses them. Rates change with budgets; verified Oct 2026. This is an estimate for planning only — confirm the final payable amounts with the Sub-Registrar / PLRA before transacting.
Before you pay
A calculator is a planning aid, not a challan. Run the numbers, then work through our due-diligence checklist before paying anything, and if the property is a CBD Punjab auction plot, read how the auctions work first.
