CBD Lahore Location Map: Quaid, Bab & NSIT City

CBD Lahore has one name but two locations on the map. The first is the Walton–Gulberg belt, where the Quaid District and the Bab District sit on either side of the railway line and are joined by Route 47. The second is NSIT City (Nawaz Sharif IT City), which lies separately in the south-east of the city, near DHA Phase 6 and Phase 7 and next to the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI). If you are looking for a CBD Lahore location map, this guide puts all three parts in place, explains how they connect, and points you to the site’s interactive map for a visual view.

A note before the detail: this is an independent information site, not the official PCBDDA website. The coordinates given below are approximate district anchors, not exact boundaries. No official boundary lines for these districts have been published in a form this guide can reproduce, so none are drawn or described here.

CBD Lahore on the Map: Three Parts, Not One

People searching for “Lahore CBD” usually mean one of two things, and the confusion is understandable. “CBD Punjab” is the province-level project of the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), and it now has locations beyond Lahore, including CBD Potohar. “CBD Lahore” is the name most people use for the Lahore parts of that project: the Walton-area districts and NSIT City. This article covers the Lahore parts only. CBD Potohar, which lies outside Lahore, is not on this map.

The three Lahore parts break down like this:

  • Quaid District — on the Kalma Chowk and Gulberg side, in the north of the Walton area.
  • Bab District — on the Walton Road side, starting after the railway line and running towards the Bab-e-Pakistan area.
  • NSIT City — in the south-east, on Bedian Road, near DHA Phase 6 and Phase 7 and adjacent to PKLI.

Route 47 is the link between the first two. NSIT City is not connected to them by Route 47; it is a separate location across the city, and reaching it is a different journey altogether.

Quaid District: The Kalma Chowk and Gulberg Side

Quaid District is the northern half of the Walton pair. Its published anchor point is approximately 31.5042, 74.3314, which places it on the Gulberg side of the project, reached from the Kalma Chowk direction. Named in honour of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the district is the more established, commercial face of CBD Lahore, and it is where several of the flagship Walton-area towers and commercial plots sit.

For anyone visiting or researching the district, the practical reference points are Gulberg and Kalma Chowk. Approach roads and onward connections run through this side of the city, and Route 47 begins here before crossing towards Walton. Because no official boundary has been published for the district, treat the anchor coordinate as a centre marker only: it tells you roughly where Quaid District sits, not where it starts or ends.

Quaid District is also the higher-priced half of the Walton pair, which is worth knowing if you are comparing locations rather than just finding them. The price picture is summarised briefly at the end of this article, with a link to the full district-by-district rates guide.

Bab District: The Walton Road Side

Bab District is the southern half of the Walton pair. It begins after the railway line and ends around the Bab-e-Pakistan area on Walton Road, according to published descriptions of the district. Its approximate anchor is 31.4819, 74.3536 — a figure that lines up with the published location of the Bab-e-Pakistan monument itself on Walton Road, which makes the monument a useful landmark when you are orienting yourself.

The district’s main access reference is Walton Road. Road works in the area have included the remodelling of Walton Road and the Ghora Chowk flyover, which matters for access because the railway crossing used to be the bottleneck between the two halves of the project. The 912-metre flyover on Route 47 now carries traffic over the Walton Railway Crossing, so the two districts are no longer separated by waiting at the line.

Bab District carries a distinct identity within the project: it is the side associated with the proposed diplomatic enclave, and it is generally the lower-priced of the two Walton districts. As with Quaid, the anchor coordinate is approximate, and no boundary line is drawn here.

Route 47: The Road That Joins Quaid and Bab

Route 47 is the single most important line on the CBD Lahore location map, because without it the Quaid and Bab districts would be two separate pockets. The corridor runs approximately four kilometres, built as a six-lane road, and connects the Quaid District in Gulberg with the Bab District at Walton Road. Its infrastructure works were completed in April 2025 at a reported cost of Rs 13 billion, and the route was opened to public traffic in June 2025.

Alongside the carriageways, the corridor includes a dedicated cycle lane, landscaped areas and supporting road infrastructure, plus the 912-metre flyover over the Walton Railway Crossing. For a visitor, the practical meaning is simple: you can now move between the Gulberg side and the Walton Road side of CBD Lahore on one continuous, purpose-built road, instead of threading through the older street network around the railway line.

Route 47 is also a landmark in its own right. The corridor carries large-format public installations, including a major 3D anamorphic screen at CBD Vertex, which has made the road itself a recognisable feature of the area. When someone gives you directions involving Route 47, they mean this corridor, and it is the surest way to move between the two Walton districts.

NSIT City: The South-East Location Near DHA Phase 6/7

NSIT City (Nawaz Sharif IT City) is the third part of the CBD Lahore map, and it is geographically separate from the Walton pair. Its approximate anchor is 31.4557, 74.4633, which corresponds to the PKLI area. In plain terms, NSIT City sits on Bedian Road, near DHA Phase 6 and Phase 7, adjacent to the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Centre (PKLI).

The access routes published for NSIT City are Bedian Road, Raiwind Road, the Lahore Ring Road and Barki Road. The surrounding area is one of Lahore’s most developed corridors: DHA Phase 6 and Phase 7 are established, high-value neighbourhoods, and PKLI is a major medical landmark that most Lahoris can find without a map. If you are travelling to NSIT City, “near PKLI, Bedian Road, by DHA Phase 6/7” is the description that will get you there.

Unlike the Walton districts, which are commercial and mixed-use city-centre districts, NSIT City is planned as a dedicated IT and technology city, with specialised zones for technology, education and related uses. That difference in purpose is also a difference in location character: where Walton sits inside the existing city fabric around Gulberg and Walton Road, NSIT City sits in the south-eastern growth corridor, where newer planned development meets DHA and the Ring Road.

Do not confuse the two journeys. A trip that covers “CBD Lahore” in full means a Walton visit (Quaid and Bab, via Route 47) and a separate south-east visit (NSIT City, via Bedian Road and the Ring Road). No single road links all three, and no published route connects NSIT City to Route 47.

How the Three Parts Relate to Greater Lahore

Put together, the map reads like this. In the centre-east of the city, the Gulberg–Walton belt holds the Quaid and Bab districts, joined by Route 47 across the railway line. In the south-east, beyond DHA’s established phases, Bedian Road holds NSIT City next to PKLI. The two clusters serve different purposes — Walton as the city-centre business district, NSIT as the technology city — but both sit under the same CBD Punjab project, which is why they share the “CBD Lahore” name in everyday search.

For a visual version of this map, with markers for the districts and project locations, see the site’s interactive map page. It is the quickest way to see the relative positions described here, and it carries the same approximate-location labelling used in this article.

Access Points at a Glance

  • Quaid District: Kalma Chowk and Gulberg side; Route 47 starts here towards Walton.
  • Bab District: Walton Road side, from the railway line to the Bab-e-Pakistan area; Ghora Chowk flyover and Walton Road remodelling serve access.
  • Route 47: approximately 4 km, six lanes, 912-metre flyover over the Walton Railway Crossing, dedicated cycle lane; links Quaid (Gulberg) with Bab (Walton Road).
  • NSIT City: Bedian Road, near DHA Phase 6 and Phase 7, adjacent to PKLI; also reached via Raiwind Road, Lahore Ring Road and Barki Road.

Price Bands by Location (Short Summary)

Location and price move together in CBD Lahore, so a location guide would be incomplete without a brief sense of the bands. Published guide rates per kanal are approximately: Quaid District PKR 150M–301M, Bab District PKR 100M–200M, and NSIT City PKR 70M–150M. These are broad bands from official auction results, not quotes for any individual plot, and they change with each auction round. For the full district-by-district breakdown, including what sits behind each band, see the plot prices guide.

What This Map Does Not Show

Three honest limits apply to this article. First, the coordinates are approximate district anchors, and no boundary polygons are drawn or implied: if a listing or agent shows you a precise “CBD boundary”, that line is not from a published official source this guide could verify. Second, distances and travel times are deliberately left out, because published journey-time claims for these locations vary widely and cannot be verified to a single figure. Third, any project location that could not be verified from a published source has been left off this map rather than placed by guesswork. The interactive map page follows the same rule: verified locations get markers, approximate locations are labelled approximate, and unverified locations get no marker at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is CBD Lahore located?

CBD Lahore has two locations: the Quaid and Bab districts in the Walton–Gulberg belt, joined by Route 47, and NSIT City in the south-east on Bedian Road, near DHA Phase 6 and Phase 7 and next to PKLI.

Is NSIT City part of Walton?

No. NSIT City is a separate location in the south-east of Lahore, on Bedian Road near DHA Phase 6/7 and PKLI. It is part of the same CBD Punjab project as the Walton districts, but it is not joined to them by Route 47 or by any single road.

What connects Quaid District and Bab District?

Route 47, an approximately 4 km six-lane corridor with a 912-metre flyover over the Walton Railway Crossing. Its infrastructure works were completed in April 2025 at a reported cost of Rs 13 billion, and it opened to public traffic in June 2025.

Where exactly is Bab District?

Bab District sits on the Walton Road side, starting after the railway line and ending around the Bab-e-Pakistan area. Its approximate anchor is 31.4819, 74.3536, which matches the published location of the Bab-e-Pakistan monument on Walton Road.

How can I see these locations on a map?

Use the site’s interactive map page, which shows markers for the districts and project locations with the same approximate-location labelling used here.

Is CBD Lahore the same as CBD Punjab?

Not quite. CBD Punjab is the province-level project, which also includes locations outside Lahore such as CBD Potohar. CBD Lahore is the name people commonly use for the Lahore parts: the Quaid and Bab districts and NSIT City.
