CBD Punjab’s Chief Operating Officer has visited the site of the proposed Diplomatic Enclave in CBD Bab District, Lahore, to review progress on site clearance and to receive a briefing on the project’s design and next development phases.
Brigadier (retired) Mansoor Janjua, the authority’s Chief Operating Officer, was accompanied by senior officials including Director Project Management Asif Iqbal, Director Marketing Waseem Siddiq and Director Construction Asif Babar. The visit focused on how far clearance work at the site has advanced and on the design and development framework for the enclave.
During the briefing, officials told the Chief Operating Officer that site clearance work had been completed. Construction activities are expected to commence shortly, in line with the approved design. The briefing also covered the project’s proposed architectural design, development framework and conceptual layout, presented through detailed three-dimensional visualisations and renderings.
Speaking during the visit, Janjua described the Diplomatic Enclave as a significant and forward-looking initiative for CBD Punjab. He said it was envisioned to give Punjab a distinctive identity on the international stage and to strengthen Lahore’s position as a destination for international engagement and diplomatic presence.
He directed the teams concerned to maintain close coordination and to take an integrated approach, so that the project progresses in accordance with the approved design, stipulated timelines and the highest standards of quality. He also stressed efficiency and timely execution at every stage of development, and issued instructions to the relevant officials to ensure timely progress while maintaining high standards of planning, development and construction.
The proposed enclave at CBD Bab District is presented by CBD Punjab as part of its effort to build modern, internationally aligned infrastructure and to position Lahore as a gateway for global engagement, investment and diplomatic relations.
What this means for CBD Punjab
The completion of site clearance moves the proposed enclave from preparation towards construction, which is the step readers and investors will watch next. No construction start date, completion timeline or investment figure was announced in the reporting, so the practical test of this update will be visible work beginning on site. Until then, the enclave remains a proposed project, and its value for the surrounding Bab District will depend on delivery rather than announcements.
