How CBD Punjab auctions work (the short version)
PCBDDA sells commercial plots through open, advertised public auctions. The authority publishes a notice with the plot inventory, reserve prices, eligibility terms, and the auction date and venue. Registered bidders compete openly, and the highest bid above the reserve price wins. Results are announced publicly — which is what makes this page possible.
If you are new to the process, read our full guide to how CBD Punjab auctions work first. It covers registration, earnest money, payment schedules, and the fine print that catches first-time bidders off guard. This page is the companion reference: the calendar of what is coming and the archive of what already happened.
Upcoming auctions: how to find them
There is no single permanent calendar page on the PCBDDA website; auction notices appear as they are announced. Here is the reliable way to stay ahead:
1. The official source
Watch the Tenders / Auction section of cbdpunjab.gov.pk — every auction notice is published there first, usually 3–6 weeks before the auction date. This is the only source that counts; everything else is commentary.
2. Newspaper advertisements
PCBDDA advertises auctions in major national dailies as required by public procurement rules. The print notice carries the same legal weight as the website posting.
3. This page and our news section
We track every announced auction in our news section and summarise it here. Bookmark this page — the table below grows with each auction round.
What to do when a notice drops
Download the notice immediately and note four things: the last date for registration, the earnest money requirement (usually a percentage of the reserve price, submitted as a pay order), the auction date and venue, and the payment schedule for the winning bid. Miss the registration deadline and there is no late entry.
Past auction results archive
The table below records notable CBD Punjab commercial plot auctions. Figures are per-kanal achieved prices as publicly announced. This archive is updated after each auction round.
| Auction round | Date | Plots offered | Indicative reserve (per kanal) | Achieved range (per kanal) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Commercial plot auction — Quaid District | 2024 | Multiple commercial | Set per notice | Strong bidding; headline plots well above reserve | Early benchmark round for the district |
| Tech Park / commercial — Ferozepur Road corridor | 2024 | Commercial (tech park city) | Set per notice | Competitive institutional participation | First tech-park-zoned auction; see our coverage |
| Commercial plot auction | 2025 | Multiple commercial | Set per notice | Averages trended above prior round | Confirmed upward price direction |
Note: exact per-kanal figures vary by plot size, location, and permitted use within each round. Always verify against the official auction result notice for the precise numbers on the plot you are researching.
Reading the results like an investor
Three patterns in the archive are worth more than any single headline price:
Reserve vs achieved spread
The gap between the reserve price and the winning bid measures demand depth. Narrow spreads mean thin competition; wide spreads mean the market sees value the reserve did not capture. Track this spread across rounds, not just the absolute prices.
Participation breadth
How many bidders registered versus how many actually bid? High registration with low active bidding can signal cautious sentiment even when headline prices look strong.
Plot-size segmentation
Smaller commercial plots often clear at higher per-kanal rates than large ones because more buyers can afford them. Do not compare a 4-kanal plot’s per-kanal price directly against a 20-kanal plot’s — they are different markets.
How this page stays updated
This is a living document. After every PCBDDA auction, we add the new round to the archive table above with the announced results, and we update the “upcoming” section when the next notice is published. If you spot an auction we have missed, or a figure that needs correcting against the official notice, let us know — accuracy is the entire point of this page.
Disclaimer: auction details change with each notice. Nothing here replaces the official PCBDDA auction notice for the round you intend to bid in. Verify dates, reserves, and terms at cbdpunjab.gov.pk before acting.
